Power Boating at South of Perth Yacht Club offers a range of on-water activities, with opportunities for both recreational boaters and competitive enthusiasts.
Time Trialling
The Club’s premier power boating activity is Time Trialling, where skippers and navigators complete a course around Swan River navigation and safety marks at a nominated speed. Success is determined by accuracy, with points awarded for arriving early or late at designated checkpoints.
Time Trialling develops:
- Boat handling and navigation skills
- Knowledge of the Swan River
- Teamwork between skipper and navigator
- Safe and efficient boating techniques
Beyond the competition, the strong social atmosphere and camaraderie make Time Trialling one of the Club’s most rewarding boating activities.
